Strategic Transformation of European F&A Operations
A Case Study for a Shared Servics and Outsourcing Journey
Client Challenge
The current F&A, Risk, and Operations functions and processes are organized country-by-country for 15 European countries. The client has been struggling for more than a decade to improve these processes and internal efforts to standardize them in an attempt to increase quality and lower costs have not been successful.

Outcomes
After signing the contract with the selected provider, a professional transition to the supplier’s nearshore location was ensured. The transition was executed in two waves: transferring offshore activities to the new supplier and transferring regional activities to the new supplier. A clearly defined BPO sourcing process ensured significant client involvement and met all deadlines. The selection of capable providers was achieved after an efficient RFP process, resulting in a signed BPO contract. Quality assurance ensured implementation conformed to market standards. The first two transition waves were safeguarded to enable Client to complete the rest of the transition independently. A new service delivery model was established with an outsourcing party for European P2P, OtC, and R2R operations.
