Client Challenge
The client faced significant challenges in outsourcing their Closed Book Life Insurance policies to IBM. This complex operation required careful management of personnel, processes, and procedures.
Response
A thorough assessment of the BPO supplier contract was conducted, identifying risks and issues. Senior management was advised on program quality, and overall support for the transition was provided, including coaching and hands-on assistance. A new organizational governance model was developed, and diverse PMO support was offered. Continued advising on transformation program quality and supporting the onboarding of the retained organization were key aspects. The foundation for the transformation organization was established, covering governance, planning, communication, stakeholder management, and PMO support.
Outcomes
The support resulted in a solid foundation for the BPO transition project, effective management of the supplier, successful finalization and implementation of the retained organization, and building the foundations of the program organization for transition and transformation. This ensured the client could achieve their goals of reducing costs per policy while maintaining high service levels.
